HDOT to waive landing fees for Molokai and Lanai Airports to support air service for residents

February 22, 2021 – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) Airports Division is waiving landing fees for scheduled commercial passenger service to Molokai and Lanai in response to decreased service due to the economic impacts of the ongoing pandemic. Free Wi-Fi offered at Moloka‘i Airport

April 29, 2025 – KAUNAKAKAI, Hawaiʻi – The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) announces free Wi-Fi is now available at Moloka‘i Airport (MKK). Service through Hawaiian Telcom began April 17, 2025, and is available throughout the terminal.  MORE>

Maui - Sun God

Finding that there was never enough time in a day, Maui caught the Sun and beat it with the magic jawbone of his grandmother. The Sun was so weak after the beating that it could not run but only creep along its course. In this way, sunlight lasted longer, and it was possible to work more during the day.
